BIG YEAR FOR THE SPEARS SRL IN 2021

BIG YEAR FOR THE SPEARS SRL IN 2021

Bakersfield, CA – In 2021, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series, the Spears Manufacturing Modified Series and the new SPEARS (SRL) Pro Late Model Series will combine for thirty championship main events. The three series will compete at the premier short tracks in the southwest and will receive national coverage by MAVTV and SPEARSRacing.TV.

At seven events in 2021, all three series will be at the same racetrack, competing on the same night. The first of these “Triple Header” weekends will be the “All-Star Showdown” at Irwindale Speedway on February 6th, where a record $30,000 prize will be paid to the winner of the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series race and a record $15,000 will be paid to the winner of the SPEARS Pro Late Model Series event at the All-Star Showdown.

“With the support of our series sponsors, host racetracks and our race teams we were able to pull together and make things work in 2020,” stated the SRL’s Larry Collins.  “The success of the 2020 season has built the foundation for a great 2021, as we’ve built a schedule with a good balance of short tracks vs. big tracks and created a balance geographically north to south.” Collins continued.

For the second consecutive year the All-Star Showdown at Irwindale Speedway will kick off the season on February 6th with all three SPEARS (SRL) series.

From that point, the Modifieds will visit Havasu Speedway on February 20th, and the Pro Late Models will venture alone to Stockton 99 on March 13th for the $5,000 to win Asparagus Cup.

Next, Kern County Raceway will host the Modifieds and the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series on March 20th for the Winter Showdown.   On April 10th all three SRL divisions return to Irwindale Speedway.  May 1st Stockton will host the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series and the SPEARS Pro Late Model Series.  The next three consecutive events will feature all three SRL divisions at All-American Speedway on May 22nd, Kern County Raceway on June 26th and Irwindale Speedway on July 17th.

On August 14th, Stockton will host the Tour Cars and the Pro Late Models, and all three divisions will be back at All-American Speedway on September 18th.

On October 2nd, the SPEARS Pro Late Model Series will have a special event at Stockton 99.

The 2021 Championship Finale for SPEARS Southwest Tour Series, the Spears Manufacturing Modified Series and the SPEARS SRL Pro Late Model Series will all take place at the 33rd Annual “October Classic” at Kern County Raceway.
